Financial Aid

We award $1.7 million in financial aid each year, supporting 27% of our student body. Financial aid is available to students of any race, gender, religion, national origin, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. Family finances are confidential and do not affect a student’s admission decision. Financial aid is determined after a student has been accepted and is awarded in the form of a tuition grant. All students applying for financial aid will be considered for over 20 named scholarships. At Indian Springs, all scholarships are need-based.

How to Apply for Financial Aid

We partner with School and Students Services (SSS) for financial aid applications. Families submit a Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) and recent tax information directly to SSS which then gives us a confidential statement of financial need. We use this information to make objective financial aid decisions.

To be considered for financial aid, you must meet these deadlines:

September 1, 2022: SSS Portal Opens, PFS Available
December 1, 2022: Returning Students Deadline
January 24, 2023: New Day Student Deadline
January 31, 2023: New Boarding Student Deadline

  • 1. Complete the Parents' Financial Statement.

The Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) is the main document of the financial aid application process. This self-reported document provides information regarding your income, expenses, and other important details. If there are any special circumstances or items that require explanation, please include those in the PFS. The more insight you can provide into your family's financial circumstances, the more accurately the Financial Aid Committee can assess your family's financial circumstances. Click here for more information.
  • 2. Submit required tax information to SSS.

Please send copies of your 2021 IRS 1040 Tax Return, schedules, statements, and W-2 forms directly to SSS. Keep in mind that all information shared with SSS is kept confidential between SSS and Indian Springs School.

Frequently Asked Questions

List of 2 frequently asked questions.

  • Q. Will my application for financial aid affect my child's application for admission?

All admission applications are reviewed by the Admission Committee and will receive an admission decision based on their application alone. All families applying for financial aid will then have their financial aid application reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee to determine if aid is needed or available.
  • Q. Will families receive the same financial aid award year to year?

We are committed to helping our families return for the next school year, but eligibility is determined annually. Every family receiving financial aid will be required to complete the financial aid process annually while at Indian Springs to determine eligibility. Families' financial situations will change from year to year, and awards will be adjusted to reflect the amount for which a family qualifies.
