Indian Springs Alumni Council

Led by Alumni Council President Starr Drum '02, the Indian Springs School Alumni Council is a group of dedicated alumni who assist in promoting the school’s mission and enhancing the quality of the experience provided to Indian Springs students. The Alumni Council also includes the Head of School, Director of Advancement, and Chair of the Board of Governors.

Meetings are held four times a year. Each Council member serves a term of three years and participates on one of the committees listed below. Indian Springs is grateful for the vital roles that Alumni Council members play in supporting, promoting, and enriching the Indian Springs community.

  • Alumni Participation

    Recognizing that Indian Springs alums are critical to the ongoing success of the school and that the Alumni Council, as a whole, is charged with assisting in the facilitation of financial, social, and professional involvement of alumni with the school, the AP Committee’s mission is to increase alumni giving to the annual fund and to capital campaigns by increasing alumni attendance at Alumni Weekends, annual Holiday party, annual Alumni Luncheon, and all other school social events and by identifying and/or developing alumni volunteer opportunities within the school’s academic and student life programs as well as encouraging their involvement as class agents or Alumni Council members.
  • Legacy

    Recognizing that Indian Springs is developing a rich history of multigenerational families, the Legacy Committee shall be comprised of alumni/ae who are also past or current parents of Springs students and its mission is to increase legacy enrollment by assisting with Indian Springs' admissions efforts and by identifying and reaching out to alumni/ae who may be interested in considering Indian Springs for their children or grandchildren's education. 
  • Membership

    Recognizing the school’s need to maintain an active and vibrant group of Alumni Council members, the Membership Committee’s mission is to identify current Council members' interests, skills, terms, and contributions to the Council's efforts and to suggest and recruit the best qualified new members as needed.
  • Outstanding Alum Award

    The Outstanding Alum Award Committee shall be responsible for assisting the Director in selecting the recipient of the Outstanding Alum Award and organizing an award presentation.
  • Young Alum

    Recognizing that Indian Springs alums are critical to the ongoing success of the school and that the Alumni Council, as a whole, is charged with assisting in the facilitation of financial, social, and professional involvement of alumni with the school, the Young Alumni Committee’s mission is to develop a practice of giving to the school among young alumni by identifying and/or development social/networking opportunities for young alumni and to increase young alumni attendance at Alumni Weekends, annual holiday party, annual Alumni Luncheon, and all other school social events and by identifying and/or developing young alumni volunteer opportunities within the school’s academic and student life programs as well as encouraging their involvement as class agents or Alumni Council members.
