Goldberg ‘20 Shines in Poetry Interpretation Competitions

Julia Goldberg '20 placed 2nd in novice poetry interpretation at the 2017 Vestavia Hills High Novice Debate Tournament on Sept. 23 and 4th out of 21 students at the Warrior Invitational held Sept. 15-16 at Oak Grove High School in Oak Grove, Miss.
 
For both tournaments, she performed "To This Day," a poem about bullying, by Shane Koyczan.
 
Springs’ Debate team, which practices during flex block on Tuesdays and Fridays, will compete next on Nov. 10–11 at Hoover High School.
