Colvin ’23, Shoreibah ’23 Receive National Merit Scholarships

Recent Indian Springs graduates Gus Colvin ’23 and Nour Shoreibah ’23 were among the additional 750 winners announced on July 10 to receive a National Merit Scholarship sponsored by their college of choice. These scholarship recipients join more than 3,000 other college-sponsored award recipients who were announced in June.

Gus will be attending Pomona College, which awards its recipients between $500 and $2,000 annually. Nour will be attending Northeastern University, which awards its recipients between $10,000 and $28,000 annually.

This year’s college-sponsored National Merit Scholarship winners are a part of the distinguished group of more than 7,140 high school seniors who will receive National Merit Scholarships for college undergraduate study worth nearly $28 million. Earlier this spring, two Indian Springs students were winners of the National Merit $2500 Scholarships.

Gus and Nour were among the more than 3,800 National Merit Finalists chosen to receive scholarships financed by 153 higher education institutions in 42 states. Indian Springs School had nine members of the Class of 2023 who were named National Merit Finalists.

Congratulations!
