Boys and Girls Tennis Teams Finish Top Five in the State

Indian Springs’ boys and girls tennis teams concluded an excellent season this week at the AHSAA Class 1A-3A State Championship tournament in Mobile.

The boys team finished second in the state bringing home a red map for Indian Springs. Friedrich Mann ’25 at #3 singles and Henry Wilder ’24 at #6 singles both claimed runners-up in the tournament. The duos of Richard Monk ’23/Freidrich Mann ’25 and Radyn Morahkhani ’25/Nour Shoreibah ’23 at #1 and #2 doubles, respectively, made it to the semifinals.

The girls tennis team finished fourth in the state. Sohana Caplash ’25 at #1 singles made it to the semifinals, and Elizabeth Tremblay-Cox ’24 at #2 singles finished as runner-up in the championship round. The doubles team of Sohana Caplash ’25/Elizabeth Tremblay-Cox ’24 at #1 doubles finished in second place as well.

Both teams advanced to the state tournament after strong finishes at sectionals in Montgomery. In a true team effort, there were multiple appearances in the semi-finals and finals in both doubles and singles competition. Sohana Caplash ’25 and Henry Wilder ’24 were section winners at #1 and #6 singles, respectively.
