End-of-Season Sports Highlights

With spring tournament season in full swing, our student-athletes have been giving their all, on and off the field. We salute their commitment, hard work, and recent achievements. Go Springs!

Girls Golf

Katie Wiatrak ‘18 and Nadia Lane ‘19 qualified for sub-state after a fantastic showing at AHSAA sectionals on May 1.

Boys Golf

Pete Schilli ‘18 and Hal Rogers ‘18 will advance to sub-state on May 8 after coming in first and second place individually at sectionals on April 30. Schilli had the second-lowest round of the day with a 76.

Softball

Indian Springs’ Softball Team was named runner-up in the Area Tournament on May 1. The team will advance to regionals on May 11.

Baseball

After celebrating a come-from-behind 16-11 win over Altamont on April 17 to sweep Altamont for the season, our baseball team captured the Area 8 Baseball Championship on April 16 and competed in the first round of the state tournament on April 19.

Girls Soccer

Indian Springs’ Girls Soccer Team advanced from the first round of the state playoffs after defeating Holy Spirit 4-1 on May 1. The team will take on Houston Academy Saturday in the second round of the playoffs. Click here for Shelby County Reporter coverage. 

Boys Soccer

Boys soccer will also advance to the second round of the state playoffs after the team’s 5-1 win over Holy Spirit on May 1. The team will take on Bayside Saturday for a chance to advance to the final four. Click here for Shelby County Reporter coverage. 

Girls Tennis

Peyton Miller ’20 won the AHSAA 1A-3A state tennis championship at No. 1 singles on April 24, defeating Claire Prickett of Bayside Academy 6-0, 6-0. The girls tennis team placed second in the area and advanced to the state tournament.

Boys Tennis

Boys tennis finished third in the area tournament. Carter Gaché ’18 advanced to the finals of No. 1 singles, and Ian Huh ’19 won No. 6 singles.
