Parent Education Event--Transition to College with Dale Wisely

Main - Theater - Theater
Frohsin/Peters

Please join us in the John Badham Theater for a discussion of “Ready to Launch - A Parent’s Guide for the Transition From High School to College” presentation by Dale Wisely, Ph.D., retired Director of Student Services at Mountain Brook Schools and clinical child and adolescent psychologist, and panel discussion with Director of College Advising Amelia Johnson and clinical psychologist Dr. Lara Embry (’87) (P’20).

Dr. Wisely will discuss some of the common issues families experience during the last years of high school, as students and their families make preparations for the college experience. He will share some of the normal—and not so normal—difficulties associated with the first year in college. Afterward, we will have a panel discussion and Q & A with Dr. Wisely, Director of College Advising Amelia Johnson, and clinical psychologist Dr. Lara Embry (’87) (P’20).

Join us for our April Parent Town Meeting at 2:00 p.m. as well.

We hope to see you there!
