ISS Senior Receives Eagle Scout Scholarship Award

Congratulations to ISS senior Cameron McDonald ’14, who has received the James T. Stephens Scholarship for Eagle Scouts, awarded to deserving high school seniors who are Eagle Scouts of the Boy Scouts of America Greater Alabama Council.

Established in 2002 by Stephens, a past Council Chair of the Boy Scouts of America, distinguished Eagle Scout, and Chairman of EBSCO Industries, the scholarship will provide $3,000 per year for four years at the college of McDonald's choice, starting with the 2014-15 school year.

McDonald, who repaired a trail on the ISS campus for the service project component of his 2013 Eagle Award, received the scholarship in March at the Boy Scouts of America Greater Alabama Council Spring Board Meeting, where McDonald, who has been active in ISS Theater productions, presented his Eagle Scout Mentor pin to ISS Theater Director Jim Ellington. McDonald plans to attend Northwestern University in the fall.

Congratulations!
