Five Indian Springs School seniors have been named Commended Students in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Will Crain ’14, Tahireh Markert ’14, Annabelle Neville ’14, Sarah Noone ’14, and Seth Perlman ’14 each placed among the top 5% of the more than 1.5 million students who took the 2012 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). They will receive Letters of Commendation from the school and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program.

“The Commended Student honor recognizes exceptional academic promise,” says ISS Director Gareth Vaughan. “We are very proud of these five young men and women—their accomplishments at Indian Springs are powerful indicators of future successes in college and beyond.”

In September, eight ISS seniors were also named 2014 National Merit Semifinalists.

Congratulations to all!
