Congratulations, Class of 2009!

Congratulations to the 73 students who joined the ranks of Springs alumni at commencement exercises May 28!

Several awards were given during the ceremony. Kate Hawley '09 received The Leadership Award. A faculty-selected honor, the award recognizes a graduate with exemplary leadership and character exhibited through participation in student activities. The award is given in memory of Charles Jordan McDavid Jr. '58.

Austin Guthrie '09 and Collin Janich '09 received The Spiritual Awareness Awards. They were chosen by their classmates for this award, which recognizes graduates who embody the qualities of dignity, humanitarianism and spiritual awareness. The award is given in memory of Allan Le Voy Furniss '63 and Robert Barry Kartus '68.

Student speakers at graduation were Tiary Degrate '09, Jennie Fisher '09, Collin Janich '09, Evan Pantazis '09 and Tullia Rushton '09.

One-hundred percent of the new graduates will be going to college and were offered approximately $4.3 million in scholarships for college matriculation. The graduates are:
