Olivia Honeycutt ’22 Named Bryant-Jordan Region Winner

Olivia Honeycutt ’22 has been selected as a Region Winner in the 2022 Bryant-Jordan Student-Athlete Scholarship Program.
  
The Bryant-Jordan Student-Athlete Program was created in 1986 by the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in conjunction with the Alabama High School Athletic Association. Ninety-six scholarships totaling more than $800,000 are awarded annually to deserving high school seniors from schools that are members of the Alabama High School Athletic Association. 

As a region winner, Olivia will receive a $3,000 scholarship and is eligible to win an additional $3,500 scholarship as a class (1A-7A) winner. The Overall Scholar-Athlete award will be selected from the seven class winners to receive another $4,000 scholarship. Class and overall winners will be announced at the 35th Annual Bryant-Jordan Awards Banquet and Ceremony at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel Ballroom on April 11. Olivia is also eligible to receive additional scholarship funds from various colleges and universities throughout the state.

Olivia is a student government representative, student ambassador, peer mentor, and a member of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee. She heads the Psychology Club and Junior United Nations Assembly and is a member of the scholars’ bowl and science olympiad teams. Olivia plays piano in the instrumental music program and plays soccer for Indian Springs and the Vestavia Hills Soccer Club. Outside of school, she participates in leadership forums and volunteers at numerous nonprofit organizations.
