Personal Note:
"My goal as a history teacher is to help students connect with the past in order to understand the present. In my own education, I came to realize that events from hundreds or even thousands of years ago form a tapestry that affects our lives today. I emphasize teaching students how to identify continuity within human societies across time and place, while also appreciating the degree to which the past is a place we cannot return."
