Dean of Students for Grades 11-12
Weslie Wald began her Indian Springs career as a Spanish teacher in 2015. Since then, she has moved on campus, worked with various clubs and committees, and in 2021 became the Dean of Students for Grades 11-12. Weslie earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish and a master’s degree in Spanish education both from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Before joining Indian Springs, Weslie enjoyed teaching at area high schools like Spain Park and Mountain Brook, as well as teaching at a primary school in Almeria, Spain. She loves spending time with family, playing music, singing, organizing, and crafting. Weslie’s overarching goal as a teacher is to help students become knowledgeable, responsible, and accepting life-long learners and global citizens. Weslie oversees the non-academic and non-athletic aspects of student life for grades 11-12.
