Indian Springs Celebrates 50 Years of Coeducation with Commemorative Video

Fifty years ago, Indian Springs School began a transformative new chapter with the start of coeducation, welcoming young women whose leadership, talents, and experiences would help shape the school's future.
Throughout the 2025–2026 school year, the Indian Springs community celebrated this historic milestone by honoring the pioneering women of the first coeducational classes and reflecting on the people, memories, and defining moments that have marked five decades of coeducation. From alumni and former faculty to current students and families, the anniversary offered an opportunity to recognize the lasting impact of those who helped build the vibrant community that exists today.

As the yearlong celebration comes to a close, Indian Springs is proud to share a commemorative video capturing the stories, spirit, and legacy of this remarkable journey. The video reflects on 50 years of growth, connection, and tradition while looking ahead to the future of the school.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this story. As Catherine Fleming Edwards '78, daughter of original faculty member Mac Fleming, says in the film, "Indian Springs will always be here waiting for you to come back." Those words capture the enduring sense of belonging that has connected generations of Springs students and alumni for half a century.
