Thirty-five Indian Springs students honored in the 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Regional Awards

Thirty-four Indian Springs students received 100+ honors in the 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Regional Awards. Submissions are awarded as a Gold Key, Silver Key, or Honorable Mention. Students receiving Gold Keys will move on to the national level this spring.

This year, Indian Springs students received a total of 41 Gold Key awards for submissions in the categories of mixed media, novel, personal essay & memoir, photography, and poetry. Seventeen of those Gold Key honors were awarded to Anna Grace Tremblay-Cox ’26, who received a school record 30 awards in total!

Among our Gold Key winners, four students (Max Mitchell ’28, Anna Grace Tremblay-Cox ’26, Tessa Tremblay-Cox ’26, and Alexandra Watson ’26) have been named as American Voices nominees, one of five regional "best-in-show" writers chosen from Gold Key recipients to represent their local region at the national level. These nominees, who display high levels of originality, skill, and personal voice, are considered for the final American Voices Medal.

Founded in 1923, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards program seeks to celebrate student achievement in the visual and literary arts in 29 categories. Students in grades 7-12 can earn recognition, exhibition, publication, and scholarships. Submissions are evaluated for originality, technical skill, and the emergence of a personal voice or vision.

Notable Scholastic alums include Andy Warhol, Sylvia Plath, Truman Capote, Stephen King, Zac Posen, Joyce Carol Oates, Robert Redford, and other creative visionaries.

Congratulations to all of our honorees!
