Personal Note: "For me, Springs sparked a lifelong love of learning and personal growth that felt entirely natural. The largely undeveloped campus curated a lasting appreciation for nature and constantly reminded us that we were free from traditional constraints. That early intellectual freedom allowed my mind to expand, ultimately shaping a legal career that is grounded in the connections between the law and the built environment. I look back on my time at Springs with joy, paired with an understanding of how remarkably comfortable I was in an amazingly differentiated and textured community. While I was introduced to the idea then that it wasn't originally designed for someone like me, it took years to fully grasp what that truly meant. It is critical for human institutions to adapt and change over time as part of their own growth. Springs gave me the framework to do so in my own life and create generational change for my family, and my service on the board reflects my commitment to playing a small part in Springs’ continued evolution and making sure that Springs provides the same opportunities that I had for those who will come in the future. For that foundational freedom to learn, adapt, and take risks, and for my parents’ sacrifices to give my younger brother and me that opportunity, I will always be grateful."
