Amelia Johnson

Director of College Advising
Amelia Johnson has been guiding Indian Springs students through their college search and application journeys since 2016, after previously serving as Associate Director of College Counseling at the Baylor School and, before that, Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She holds a B.A. in Religious Studies, with a concentration in Women’s and Gender Studies, cum laude, from Kenyon College and an Ed.M in Higher Education from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. A member of both the Southern and National Associations of College Admissions Counseling and the Association of College Counseling in Independent Schools, Amelia is also passionate about her community. She volunteers actively with the Sidewalk Film Festival and the Young Professionals Board of the Alabama Humanities Foundation.
