Greg Van Horn

Director of Athletics
Greg Van Horn has understood for his entire life that success on the field begins with commitment off the field. Greg has been nurturing talent, developing skills, and building teams as coach, physical education instructor, and athletic director at Indian Springs for 43 years. A star high school athlete, he received football, baseball, and basketball scholarship offers. He attended Berry College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in physical education, recreation, and dance while captaining the basketball team on a full scholarship. Since 1980, the impact Greg has had on Indian Springs athletics is immeasurable. He has led Indian Springs basketball teams to more than 350 wins, multiple Area Championships, and two Sweet 16 visits. During his tenure as athletic director, Springs has also won six state titles and numerous area championships, including one in each of the sports that we offer. On and off the court, Greg teaches students the values of fair play, teamwork, and sportsmanship. He also works steadfastly behind the scenes taking care of anything that needs to be done, ensuring that all who are involved in Springs athletics—players, coaches, officials, opponents, and fans—have a great experience.
