ISS Girls Cross Country Team Headed to State Championship

Congratulations to the ISS Girls Cross Country Team, which finished 2nd overall at the Class 3A Section 2 meet and advances to the Cross Country State Championships for the 3rd year in a row!

Sectional race highlights included:

6th - Catherine Grady ’15 (21:35; new Personal Record!
7th - Ada Cohen ’18 (21:39; new Personal Record!)
10th - Issy Schwiebert ’17 (22:16; new Personal Record!)
25th - Madeline Thomas ’15 (25:51)
26th - Sarah Grace Guillaume ’16 (26:33; first cross country race!)
33rd - Kristin Toms ’16
35th - Daun Lee ’16
38th – Clara Scott ’16
39th - Sarah Brabston ’16

The Boys Cross Country Team tied for 3rd place at sectionals and missed state by just a few points. Individual members of the Boys Team who qualified for state are Kilian Griep ’17, Gavin Young ’17, and Thomas Barr ’16.

The AHSAA Cross Country State Championships will take place Saturday, Nov. 8, at Oakville Indian Mounds Park in Moulton, Ala.
