Ledvina ’25, Markstein ’25 Selected for Youth Leadership Forum of Birmingham

Indian Springs students Erik Ledvina ’25 and Max Markstein ’25 have been invited to join the Youth Leadership Forum Class of 2024.

An outgrowth of the successful Leadership Birmingham program for adults, the Youth Leadership Forum (YLF) is a community-wide leadership program for high school sophomores and juniors designed to expose young leaders to the various elements that interact to form a strong and dynamic metropolitan area.

YLF provides in-depth programming to acquaint students with community needs, opportunities, problems, and resources, as well as opportunities to meet students from different backgrounds and areas to exchange ideas and broaden perspectives. YLF gives students a foundation of knowledge as well as the skills to become involved as a leader in the community.

The forum features six sessions in arts, economic development, education, government, health, and human services, along with other aspects of the Birmingham community. An additional leadership skills conference will cover aspects of time management, resume writing, college readiness, and communications.

Sessions and workshops will take place from November 2023 through April 2024.

Congratulations to Erik and Max!
