The ISS Varsity Girls Volleyball Team went undefeated at the Shelby County Invitational on Sept. 26, winning the tournament 5-0!

The team defeated Moody, Vincent, and Isabella in six straight sets in pool play to earn a No. 1 seed for the tournament. They defeated Minor in the semifinals and Isabella in the finals.

Leading the team were Ava Davis ’18 with 106 assists, 3 aces, and 20 digs; Tournament MVP Margot Balliet ’16 with 29 kills, 8 aces, 3 blocks, and 29 digs; Chloe Yeager ’16 with 29 kills, 7 aces, 3 blocks, and 5 digs; Stella Davis ’16 with 29 kills, 1 ace, 3 blocks, and 11 digs; and Julianne Baker ’16 with 38 digs, 4 aces, and 3 assists.

“I’m so proud of our girls! Way to go undefeated!” said Head Coach Tiffany Reedus-Hunter. "What makes this such a strong team is that we have a strong offense. We are able to distribute the ball to any player on the court and they are able to deliver. The girls play very well together and trust one another on the court."

Congratulations to the entire team and Coaches Reedus-Hunter and Chris Tetzlaff!

The team will take on St. Clair County in a tri-match (@St. Clair) this afternoon at 4 p.m.
