Six Students Named National Merit Finalists

 
Six Indian Springs seniors have been named finalists in the 63rd annual National Merit Scholarship Program.

Henry Goff ’18, Ken Jiao ’18, Amy Li ’18, Peter Scalise ’18, Sam St. John ’18, and Danielle Wu ’18 were among about 15,000 students nationwide (representing less than 1 percent of graduating seniors) who were selected based on their achievements on the 2016 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, high SAT scores, strong academic performance in grades 9–12, participation in school and community activities, demonstrated leadership abilities, and honors and awards received.

Also recognized by the 2018 NSMP were
Lauren Jones ’18 (semifinalist) and Rachael Murdock ’18, Grace O’Malley '18, Delaney Porter '18, and Mark Romero '18 (commended students).
