Springs Sports Highlights

A round of applause for our student-athletes! This spring, every athletics team at Indian Springs School made it to post-season play, earning numerous awards and honors. 

Baseball
Indian Springs baseball ended their season in the first round of state playoffs, but it was a significant accomplishment for a young team with no seniors and only two juniors. In addition, they claimed the 3A Area 8 Runners-Up, finishing with a 4-2 record in area play.

Softball 
Indian Springs softball team ended their season in regional play after claiming 3A Area 8 Runners-Up. In addition, seniors Kailyn Oppenheim ’23 and Rosa Sabel ’23 were named to the All-Area Team. 

Golf
James Mugavero ’23
had a low score of 90 in sectionals, qualifying for sub-state where he shot an 88 and missed the state finals by only six strokes.

Boys Soccer
Our defending state champion boys soccer team ended their season in the first round of state playoffs this year, moving to 6A play after claiming back-to-back titles at the 4A-5A level in 2021 and 2022. Gus Colvin ’23 was named to the AHSAA Soccer Coaches Boys All-State First Team and the All-6A First Team, while Erik Ledvina ’25 was named All-State Honorable Mention. Gus also made the All-Metro First Team, and Josh Bramblett ’23 made the All-Metro Second Team. In addition, both Erik and Smith Craig ’23 were named All-Metro Honorable Mention.

Girls Soccer
Our defending state champion girls soccer team ended their season in the round of sixteen of state playoffs this year, also moving to 6A play after winning the 4A-5A state championship in 2022. Norah Roller ’23 was named to the AHSAA Soccer Coaches Girls All-State First Team and the All-6A First Team. She was also named co-captain of the B-Division All-Metro First Team. Anna Simms ’23 and Addison Doyle ’24 were named All-State Honorable Mention. Addison was also named to the All-Metro First Team, while Anna and Kennedy Doyle ’25 were named to the All-Metro Second Team.
