Five Students Featured in Congressional Art Gallery

Sophia Graham ’24, Boris Gueorguiev ’23, Kimely Li ’23, Lai’ana Reeves ’24, and Ivy Spence ’24 represented Indian Springs School in the 2022 Congressional Art Competition and will be featured in a Virtual Art Gallery on the website of Rep. Gary Palmer, who represents Alabama’s 6th Congressional District.

The Congressional Art Competition is a nationwide high school visual arts competition sponsored by the U.S. House of Representatives and the Congressional Institute. The goal is to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district. Since the competition began in 1982, more than 650,000 high school students have participated. Students submit entries to their representative’s office, and a panel of district artists selects the winning entries.
