Underwood ’23, Karle ’19 Place at State Championship Swim Meet

Indian Springs swimmers Mark Underwood ’23 and Mia Karle ’19 both placed in the top 10 of their respective categories at the AHSAA State Championship Swim Meet on Dec. 1!

Underwood, a first-year Springs swimmer, placed third in the state in both the 500-yard Freestyle and the 100-yard Breaststroke. At the sectional meet in mid-November, he placed first in the 100-yard Breaststroke and third in the 500-yard Freestyle.

Karle, a third-year Springs swimmer, placed eighth in the state in the 100-yard Breaststroke and surpassed her personal record in the 200-yard Individual Medley preliminary. At the sectional meet, she placed third in both the 200-yard Individual Medley and the 100-yard Breaststroke.
