Mock Trial Students Attend Harvard Seminar

Four members of the Indian Springs Mock Trial Team attended the 2018 Angela R. Mathew High School Mock Trial Seminar at Harvard University on Oct. 13-14: Grace Brown ’21, Bob Fu ’21, Luke Hillegass ’20, and Harshil Mehta '22.

An opportunity for students to learn from some of the best collegiate mock trial competitors in the nation, the seminar offers interactive lectures from experienced attorneys and witnesses, one-on-one guidance sessions, demonstration rounds, and scrimmages. Now in its 13th year, the seminar has trained many teams that have gone on to win state and national competitions.

“The captain of the Harvard Mock Trial Team went over my direct for the witness I am portraying and really helped me craft it into a breathtaking performance,” says Team Captain Grace Brown ’21. “With the knowledge I learned, I feel like our team will go to Nationals in 2021.”

Team member Jordyn Hudson ’21 will attend the November seminar.

Thanks so much to coach Carole Mazer and faculty advisor D’Anthony Allen for chaperoning this trip, and best of luck to the team in their 2018-19 competitive season!
