Springs Athletes Receive State, Metro, County Honors

Several Indian Springs School athletes have been named to 2018 All-State and All-Metro Teams for outstanding statistics and sportsmanship during the 2017–18 season.

Girls Soccer

Madeleine Davis ’18 (back), Logan McFadden ’18 (midfield), and Virginia Hunt ’21 (forward) were selected for the Alabama High School All-State girls first 1A-3A Team, and Ada Cohen ’18 (forward) for the second. Read more at AL.com.

Davis, McFadden, Hunt, and Cohen were also selected for the Birmingham All-Metro girls first team, and Caroline Ritchie ’19 (defender) for the second.

Boys Soccer

Donald Wilson ’19 (midfield) was selected for the 2018 All-Shelby County first team, and Patrick McGuire ’18 (defense) and Nick Bryant ’19 (defense) were selected for the second. Jim Tozzi ’20Matthew Dale ’20, and Justin Chapman ’18 were named honorable mentions. Read more at ShelbyCountyReporter.com.

Girls Tennis

Peyton Miller ’20 was named to AL.com’s 2018 All-State girls tennis team after winning No. 1 singles at the state championship for 1A-3A in May. Read more at AL.com.
