Girls Soccer Players, Coach Earn All-Metro Honors

As Indian Springs’ Girls Soccer Team prepares to take on Montgomery Academy Thursday in the semifinals of the state tournament, five players have been chosen for the 2018 Birmingham Girls All-Metro Team, captain Logan McFadden ’18 has been named B-Division Player of the Year, and Coach Hunter Gray has been voted B-Division Metro Coach of the Year!
 
McFadden (who plays midfield) and teammates Ada Cohen ’18 (forward), Virginia Hunt ’21 (forward), and Madeleine Davis ’18 (defender) were selected for the first team of the B Division. Caroline Ritchie ’19 (defender) was named to the second team of the division.
 
All honors were selected based on nominations and voting by area coaches.
 
The semifinal match will take place at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at John Hunt Park in Montgomery.
