Lee ’21 Wins Delta Symphony Orchestra Competition

Indian Springs pianist Eleanor Lee ’21 was selected as a Grand Prize winner of the 2019 Delta Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition, held March 16 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Lee won the Piano Division to advance to the Grand Prize level, where she competed against top musicians from four other divisions: Strings, Woodwinds, Brass/Percussion, and Voice. For earning one of only two Grand Prize distinctions, she was awarded a cash prize of $750 and the opportunity to perform as a guest artist with the Delta Symphony Orchestra this May.

Lee—who has studied with Dr. Hye-Sook Jung, Indian Springs Director of Instrumental Music, for the past nine years—was also recently named a first place winner of the Piano Division at the 2019 Lois Pickard Scholarship Competition, where she was awarded a cash prize of $1,500.
