Four Student Projects Advance to State Science Fair

Eight Indian Springs students received awards at the 2019 Central Alabama Regional Science and Engineering Fair on March 2 at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Four student projects—two at the high school level and two at the middle school level—will advance to the state fair on April 4–5 at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
 
High School Level (9th-12th grade) Awards:

Catherine Kung '22 — 1st Place, Engineering
Mike Jiang '20 — 2nd Place, Mathematics and Computer Sciences
Virginia Slaughter '22 — Honorable Mention, Medicine
Olivia Honeycutt '22, Caroline Beisher '22 — Honorable Mention, Environmental Science

Middle School Level (8th grade) Awards:

Rosa Sabel '23 — 1st Place, Environmental Science
Elizabeth Spradlin '23, Elise Picard '23 — 3rd Place, Behavioral Science
