Two Students Chosen for 2019 Youth Leadership Forum

Springs students Hunter Crawford ’20 and Jordyn Hudson ’21 have been invited to represent Indian Springs in the Youth Leadership Forum Class of 2019.

An outgrowth of the successful Leadership Birmingham program for adults, the forum introduces Birmingham-area sophomores and juniors to community needs, problems, resources, and opportunities and encourages them to get involved in community affairs.

The forum features six sessions in arts, government, human services, economic development, education, and other aspects of the Birmingham community. Additional workshops at Samford University will teach skills in time management, resume writing, and college readiness.

Hunter is a member of the Indian Springs Men’s Soccer Team and Junior United Nations Assembly. Outside of school, he is a Boy Scout and a budding entrepreneur. He also started his own organization to raise money for Children’s Hospital of Alabama.

Jordyn is an Indian Springs Student Ambassador and a member of the Concert Choir, Mock Trial Team, Black Student Alliance, Gender Equality Club, and Young Democrats Club. She also served as a class representative and a member of Judiciary in her 8th and 9th grade years.

Sessions and workshops will take place November 2018 through April 2019.

Congratulations to both students!
