Springs’ International Friendship program gives international students a "home away from home" during the school year.
The school solicits volunteers among the parents of current students and places each international student with a host family for Thanksgiving, Spring Break, and/or Winter Break vacations.
The program matches a host family with an international student based on common interests and age. International students are asked to maintain open communication with their host families; share their customs and culture; be responsible, respectful, and caring; and participate fully in the families’ events during these vacations. These students have their own spending money and health insurance, so host families do not need to provide them.
The International Friendship program provides an excellent opportunity for interested families of Springs students and alumni to expand their awareness and learn more about the cultures of other countries while helping an international student to adjust to and learn about American culture. Families interested in participating in this enriching and rewarding program are asked to sign up as soon as possible.
