Fourteen Students Win Awards at State Science Fair

Fourteen Indian Springs School students received category and special awards at the 2017 Alabama Science and Engineering Fair. Two juniors, Ken Jiao ’18 and Danielle Wu ’18, will advance to the prestigious Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) May 14-19 in Los Angeles. Freshmen Sawyer Impello ’21, JP Doucet ’21, Alex Forbes ’21, and Benjamin Appling ’21, whose research was named among the top 10% of middle school students’ science projects nationwide, have been invited to apply for the national Broadcom MASTERS competition in Washington, D.C., in June.
 
More than 250 junior high and high school students competed at the statewide competition, held April 7-8 at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
