Volleyball Area Champs!

Indian Springs’ No. 1 seed Girls Volleyball Team defeated No. 2 seed American Christian 3-0 Monday to claim the Class 3A, Area 7 Championship!
 
Leading the tournament were: Sonia Gueye '18 with 23 kills, 14 aces, 6 digs; Ava Davis '18 with 38 assists, 3 kills, 5 aces, 2 digs; Madei Davis '18 with 5 kills, 2 blocks, 11 aces, 17 digs; Caroline Baker '18 with 5 kills, 3 blocks, 5 aces, 4 digs; and Danielle Wu '18 with 8 kills, 6 aces, 9 digs. Ava Davis and Madei Davis were named to the All-Tournament Team, and Sonia Gueye ’18 was named Tournament MVP.
 
"I think the girls just set their sights on winning this tournament no matter what!” Head Coach Lauren O’Sullivan said of the area win. “They improve every time I watch them compete, and tonight the team did a tremendous job playing together as a unit.  Everyone contributed greatly to this win, and I am extremely proud of them for tonight's results."
 
The team advances Thursday to the Super Regionals Tournament, where the girls will play Houston Academy at 11:30 a.m. on Court 6 of the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
