Two ISS Sophomores Chosen for 7th Annual Capstone Leadership Academy

ISS sophomores Bela Patel ’18 and Mark Romero ’18 have been selected to attend the seventh annual Capstone Leadership Academy on March 3-4 at the University of Alabama.

Hosted by the university’s Capstone Council, Office of the President, and Honors College, the academy will feature activities designed to give students tools and training to apply to leadership opportunities in their schools and communities. One hundred Alabama high school sophomores were chosen to participate based on their interest in leadership through service.

“The program will give Bela, Mark, and other attendees the opportunity to hear from guest speakers and participate in group activities that highlight important leadership skills,” says ISS Dean of Student Life Jan Fortson. “We are delighted that they will be representing Indian Springs as they explore what it means to lead.”

Congratulations to both students!
