Life as a Student

Student Life

Boarding
A special feature of Indian Springs School is that you can live where you learn. The campus dorms allow approximately one third of the students to reside on campus, and about two thirds of the teachers and their families live here, as well. The campus setting, 350 acres, is beautiful and secure, and a wide array of activities is available for boarders on the weekends. Most boarders come from the southeastern U.S., but there are also students from other states and countries. Each year a significant number of day students decide to board for a year (usually senior year) in order to gain all the advantages of living on campus. The rooms are comfortable and have telephone and Internet access. The food is good, and the support for evening study is helpful. But what students enjoy most is the opportunity to live on their own a bit, make new friends, and take advantage of all that goes on at school. There are scholarships available that are designated for boarding students.
