Indian Springs is a world-class high school, with an eighth grade attached at the front end! The eighth grade program is designed to prepare students for the work they will do in the challenging Indian Springs curriculum, but there are also some special features just for eighth graders. There is a class trip to an environmental camp at the beginning of the year. A course in the arts and technology exposes students to drama, art, photography and computer skills. Our science course makes excellent use of the lake, streams and fields of the campus. We learn to write essays and conduct internet research. Classes are small, and individual attention is available from a group of teachers who truly enjoy working with middle school aged youngsters. Eighth graders develop a great bond with classmates, and they also enjoy participating fully in student government, sports and activities along with the upper classmen.
